surely most of the people out there know what Fawlty Towers is? One of the best British sitcoms if not the best starring John Cleese se as the hilarious Basil Fawlty, Prunella Scales as Sybil Fawlty and of course who could forget Andrew Sachs as Manuel! The real question to ask is why on earth did Cleese and his then wife Connie Booth (Polly) decide to have the programme set in Torquay?
Experience
With programmes like this one you will find that people base things a lot on the experiences that they have had and this one is no different. In fact Cleese based his own character on a hotel owner that he had spotted when staying in a hotel on Torquay when filming with the people from the Monty Python team.
This happened when the team booked to stay in the Gleneagles hotel in 1970 and Cleese became fascinated with some of the things the hotel owner was doing to the guests. There was a quote from John Cleese and it is “the most marvellously rude man I’ve ever met”. One of the things Cleese saw was the owner throwing a timetable at a guest asking about bus times and another was him taking Eric Idles briefcase out into the garden because he though a bomb was in it. (There was a ticking alarm clock in it). After the rest of the cast left the hotel Cleese and Booth stayed behind at the hotel to research the hotel manager further and it was this that Basil Fawlty was born from.
of course when it comes to going to Torquay there is no way you would visit a place like this, there is no hotel this bad of course. It is worth thinking about one of those spa breaks or family holidays when it comes to this as it is something that people enjoy. Is it too early to think about Christmas hotels Torquay?
Have a great time when you are there!

Season 11 of the “DWTS” show, “Dancing with the Stars” is coming back soon. There has been a list of who’s going to be in the show this year leaked. Everybody is amazed. You will find unexpected people making the list. The highlight is none other than Bristol Palin, the 19-year-old who has parlayed being Sarah Palin’s daughter and Levi Johnston’s baby mamma into full-time celebrity. “Dancing with the Stars Style” has some more bananas to add. September 20 is whenever you can see the DWTS Season 11 premier.
Situation with ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ ‘Dancing With the Stars,’
Yes, “Dancing With the Stars” is going to have to deal with the multi-million dollar ab-bearing boy from “The Jersey Shore,” Mr. The Situation. David Hasselhoff is one more boy. Given the chance, he’ll surely break into a rousing round of “oooka shakas,” because song and dance are blissfully wed when the Hoff is on. An appearance will come from a girl who’s good looking also. Audrina Patridge will be joining the cast. E! Online indicates Brandy will be there, too.
Kirstie Alley wouldn’t do it
Kirstie Alley wasn’t on the list for the cast. She was rumored to be there though. The list also didn’t contain another rumored guest. “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” stars weren’t included. Bachelors can’t seem to get enough of “Dancing with the Stars” which is why during the “Bachelor Pad” on August 30, there will be the announcement. The announcement includes “DWTS” Season 11 cast announcements.
Watch it for the Bristol
ABC’s Family’s “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” showed Bristol Palin in one episode. Mediate reports that she was going to co host a reality show with her ex, Levi Johnston, but now she has a lot of time for “DWTS” to happen. Bristol might just be looking for a hot love triangle with Levi the Kid and Mr. The Situation. Or maybe she just likes to dance.

Primetime television has seen a rise in the number of crime shows which numerous people have come to love and enjoy. The drama, the thrill, the action, and the excitement you get from these shows, has you screaming and begging for more which leads various networks to come up with their own crime shows. But really, what makes CSI, Bones, Shark, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, and many others so popular among millions of viewers worldwide?
● It Makes You Think
Watching crime shows such as CSI always leaves you thinking all throughout the show, what’s going to happen next?, who’s the culprit?, or who could end up being the next victim? You think you may have figured out who the killer is but the plot is so intricately done that you end up being wrong. These shows keep your mind working so that each time you attempt at a guess at what will happen next, you feel like you are the best. You even think to yourself that the plots in Bones and Criminal Minds are so clever that you begin to feel smart.
● It Illustrates Real Stories
These storylines are typically taken from real life which helps to make them appear realistic and natural. And it also makes you think that it could really happen in real life. Truth is it does. Crime shows do give you the real score with what’s happening in society nowadays. They should be regarded not only as excellent entertainment providers but as a warning as well that you should be more careful and cautious of your surroundings. Yet, the victims in these TV shows won’t be as lucky as you. Once we watch them we will find that they won’t have any other choice. They had nothing to defend themselves with. While you do. You may want to think about carrying self defense products, for instance pepper spray along with you. Don’t let your own life story be the plot in the next Bones episode.
● It has heroic characters
Admit to this fact. Just like any other person, you take pleasure in superhero stories. Of course you either see yourself wanting to play the part of the superhero or you want to play the part of the damsel in distress. You enjoy seeing a person being saved, plus cases being solved in favor of the victim. You like seeing the bad guys being dragged into jail and punished for their evildoings. The characters in most crime shows give that to you. Witnessing David Caruso’s character Horatio Caine save teenage girls in CSI Miami presents you with a proud feeling that you would fall at his feet. The charisma of Booth in Bones, the bravery and intelligence of the team in CSI, plus the scientific theories of Bones, make you want to be like them in life. Furthermore, the personal life in each character gives the show with an interesting and fun side to it too.
Crime shows are not just fads. They will go on for countless years and they will always bring in an audience regardless of age]. The plots are incredibly exciting and written in such a way that even if you miss one show, you can still watch another one without missing a beat. Even though you don’t have to watch the shows all the time, you still find yourself coming back again and again.
