My Son John: Archetypal apple-pie parents (Hayes, Jagger) suspect their child (Stroller) of being a communist in this reactionary period piece. DramaticalIy overwrought, however this film is fascinating as a social history. Stroller (who’s brilliant) died before film was completed. Cast includes Helen Hayes, Robert Stroller, Dean Jagger, Van Heflin, Frank McHugh, and Richard Jaeckel. (122 minutes, 1952)
Protocal: In Protocal Goldie Hawn becomes an inadvertent heroine (and ovemight star) who’s satisfied with her do nothing government job. She eventually is used as a pawn for handling a Middle Eastern potentate. Cast includes Goldie Hawn, Chris Sarandon, Richard Romanus, Andre Gregory, Gail Strickland, Cliff De Youthful, Keith Szarabajka, Ed Begley, Jr., and James Staley. (96 minutes, 1984)
The Mark: Whitman is phenomenal in his depiction of spiritually busted sex offender who has served his time and now desires to make new start. Cast includes Stuart Whitman, Maria Schell, Rod Steiger, Brenda De Hanzie, Maurice Denham, Donald Wolfit, Paul Rogers, and Donald Houston. (127 minutes, 1961)
Red Sonja: SpectacuJarly stupid sword and magic myth with lady lead, based on mush writings of Robert E. Howard (of Conana popularity). May entertain adolescent watchers, although only point of interest for grownups is choosing who gives the worse acting job, Nielsen or villainess Bergman. Cast includes Brigitte Nielsen, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sandahl Bergman, Paul Smith, Emie Reyes, Jr., Ronald Lacey, and Pat Roach. (89 minutes, 1985)
The Alannist: Eccentric and choppy black comedy in reference to a novice door to door security alarm sales man (Arquette) who finds that his manager and self-fashioned mentor (Tucci) is a crook. Then the youthful gentleman falls in love with his first client (Capshaw). Cast includes David Arquette, Stanley Tucci, Kate Capshaw, Mary McCormack, Ryan Reynolds, and Tricia Vessey. (93 minutes, 1998)
The Red Badge of Courage: Yankee cadet Murphy escapes under fire and is guilt afflicted over his obvious absence of guts. Stephen Crane’s Civil Battle novel acquires both fable and personal therapy by director Huston. High quality battle scenes and some genuinely terrifying Insurgent cavalry charges highlight this research of the fine line between cowardice and courage. Cast includes Audie Murphy, Bill Mauldin, Douglas Dick, Royal Dano, John Dierkes, Arthur Hunnicutt, Tim Durant, and Andy Devine. (69 minutes, 1951)
Nutcracker the Motion Picture: Much of this rendition of The Nutcracker, acted by the Pacific Notthwest Ballet, is like a music video with rapid cutting and close-ups of legs, faces, and elbows. This is extremely irritating. However the Tchaikovsky music is, obviously, amazing, as are Maurice Sendak’s sets and costumes. Cast includes Hugh Bigney, Vanessa Acute” Patricia Barker, Plod Walthall, Russell Burnett, and the voice of Julie Harris. (89 minutes, 1986)
The Sellout: Small town newspaper editor Pidgeon finds himself in over his head while he tries to get the wares on corrupt sheriff Gomez. Cast includes Walter Pidgeon, John Hodiak, Audry Totter, Paula Raymond, Cameron Mitchell, Karl Malden, Everett Sloane, and Thomas Gomez. (83 minutes, 1952)

10,000 B.C.: Warlords have attacked a small mountain tribe in ancient times. They have captured the beautiful Evolet. D’Leh, who loves Evolet, leads a small party of men prepared to go the ends of the Earth to save Evolet.
The Iron Horse: Myth-scale quiet film in reference to creating of transcontinental railroad, entangled with unsurprising human being-interest subplots engaging surveyor O’Brien, darling Bellamy, deserter Kohler, etc. Might appear commonplace this present day; however it’s vital to note that this film created what later was known as stereotypes. The Efficiency Expert: Delightful sham that follows the plight of Hopkins, an abrasive management advisor whose demeanor is ever-so-slightly modified by the assorted, humorously inefficient employees at a tiny plant. Hopkins offers a dense joke behavior. Cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Alwyn Kurts, Rebecca Rigg, Russell Crowe, Bruno Lawrence, and Toni Collette. (85 minutes, 1992)
Sea Wife: Disarming yam of Burton and Collins subsisting a torpedoed transport. He falls in love with her, not knowing she’s a nun. Set throughout WW2. Cast includes Richard Burton, Joan Collins, Basil Sydney, and Ronald Squire. (82 minutes, 1957)
Alive and Kicking: Martin Sherman producer of the play Curved inscribed this feeling tirade in reference to a self-involved gay dancer Fleming who declines to let the truth that he is beset. He additionally gets to be romantically engaged with a therapist Sherry who treats HIV-positive subjects.
