Advantages of LCD TV Stands

There are some manufacturers that provide LCD TV stands with their upright or flat screen televisions. That LCD TV stands that come with a new LCD television are designed for use with that specific model and may not be secure enough for different television sets. One of the advantages of the thinner profile LCD televisions is being able to mount them on the wall, but many still prefer to place them on stands that put them in a more comfortable position for viewing.

The new wide screen LCD TVs will not be able to fit into an older entertainment cabinet that was made for the smaller sets. These TV stands are close in size to other units available and will often be adequate for most TVs. Using LCD TV stands the television can be placed on top of a flat stand or even a bedroom dresser depending on its size.

The size of the screen will determine the safest type of LCD TV stands to use with a particular model. It is important that if the TV is 50 inches or more that it be placed on a stand that is big enough to handle it.

Examine the Quality of the Stand

LCD TV stands are manufactured in proportion with the TV it will be mounted to and therefore should be able to keep it upright. Once the TV has been set on the stand carefully test it for stability. A rug or carpet is not a great place to set up your TV, it would be much safer in a solid and stable location.

Proper care is necessary in the transporting of all LCD televsions due to the delicate nature of the glass sections contain the gas and color. If the LCD gets bumped causing it to tumble of the stand it could become permanently damaged. Using good LCD TV stands gives homeowners peace of mind that their TVs will not topple.

Sometimes people have their television mounted on the wall and then choose to use LCD TV stands to lower the screen. If the stand is broken, go to an authorized dealer to excange it for a new one.

Disney Pixar Need to Make Their Films More Commercial

The production company Disney Pixar has been criticised by traders in Wall Street after there is speculation over their ability to maximise profits. Many quality films have come out of this company over the last couple of decades but there are lots of people that think they have lost their commercial edge these days.

This news comes after their worst two performing productions yet, WALL-E and Ratatouille. It’s not that they are failing to make money but more the fact they have strong completion to fend off, including the ever popular Dreamworks.  Their new film ‘UP’ has recently been released and the criticisms of previous films have continued with this one.The general consensus is that there is a clear lack of characters that transfer as well into merchandise sales as some of their previous productions, e.g. Mickey Mouse or the productions of their competitors. Dreamworks having been hitting the spot recently with such merchandise dreams such as Wallace and Grommit, the Shrek series and their latest release Monsters VS Aliens. These products feature easily identifiable heroes and villains, and also cute talking creature or animals that covert well the merchandise war. Toys, books,  DVD’s, clothes even more obscure products like dolls houses, all play their part in making up the films overall profits.  The ability to promote conversion of sales for  these is what is lacking in the characters and stories of Pixar’s offerings.

Some people have stood up for Pixar and said that it simply staying true to its craft and not selling out by producing a film just to sell goods off the back of it. They would rather be able to promote the buying of educational toys instead of cheap tacky stuff. Having said this, there is a great deal of pressure on the company from shareholders and linked businesses to up their game in terms of commercialism.Pali Research’s Richard Greenfield has downgraded the shares of Disney to sell this month just gone, stating that a predicted high risk of commercial failure is the reason.
